With 20 years
of litigation consulting experience, Mr. Nutten serves as
DM&A’s expert on damages issues, business valuation
matters, and fraud investigations.
Mr. Nutten specializes
in economic damage analyses, forensic accounting investigations,
business valuations, and class action claims administration.
Mr. Nutten regularly consults on loss of goodwill issues in
eminent domain proceedings. In addition, he has managed financial
statement audits, reviews, and compilations, as well as prepared
tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
He has testified in California Superior Court and California
Criminal Court on numerous occasions.
Before joining
DM&A, Mr. Nutten gained valuable experience as a management
consultant at Price Waterhouse, BDO Seidman, Peterson Consulting,
and Biggs & Co.
Mr. Nutten is
a part-time professor of financial and managerial accounting
at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He is a Certified
Public Accountant, a Certified Management Accountant, and
Accredited in Business Valuation. He maintains membership
in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants,
the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and
the Institute of Management Accountants.
Mr. Nutten
earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University
of Southern California with an emphasis in finance, and holds
a master’s degree in business administration from Loyola
Marymount University with a concentration in finance and entrepreneurial
organizations. Mr. Nutten is a regular speaker on topics related
to business valuation and economic damages.
