Mr. Pigrom joined DM&A in 2005 as a fixtures and equipment appraiser and became Senior Manager in 2009 and Partner in 2021. As the head of the Tangible Assets appraisal department, he regularly provides expert witness testimony at deposition and trial regarding machinery and equipment valuation.
Mr. Pigrom has developed a specialty of preparing fixtures and equipment appraisals in connection with eminent domain proceedings. His appraisals are also used for a variety of purposes, such as, cost segregation, lending, public agency bond considerations, and purchase price allocation. He has appraised the tangible assets of a wide variety of business types across the manufacturing, retail, and service sectors, including water districts, mobile home parks, recording studios, gas stations, concrete batch plants, medical offices and facilities, cellular telephone towers, bus depots, logistics/shipping warehouses, and expansive industrial and manufacturing facilities.
He has given presentations on tangible asset valuation, including those entitled Acquiring Commercial Property: When Appraisal and Relocation Issues Overlap, Valuation of Fixtures and Equipment Under Eminent Domain Law, Appraisal During the COVID-Era, Date of Value, and The Duty to Mitigate.
Mr. Pigrom lives in Boise with his wife and two kids. He fanatically follows the Eagles and Phillies and is a recovering retired rugby player.
